ABOUT THE EVENT

Responding to harassment complaints properly is the single-most important method for avoiding liability for any harassment that occurs in your workplace. Your effort to investigate, document, and respond to a complaint will go a long way in determining whether your organization bears any legal responsibility for the harassment that may have taken place. How do you properly investigate an allegation? Who should conduct the review? Who do you interview and how do you assess credibility of the parties and witnesses? What should your investigative report include, how thorough should it be, and what are the next steps after completing it?

This webinar will cover:

  • How to properly respond when an employee has alleged harassment in the workplace
  • Step-by-step guide to how to conduct an effective workplace harassment investigation
  • Analyzing who should conduct the harassment investigation
  • What does prompt, thorough and impartial mean?
  • Creating interview scripts for all witnesses, the complainant and accused
  • Dealing with the difficult issues - “he said, she said” investigations
  • Learn how to properly assess credibility
  • Going the extra mile during the investigation
  • Understanding the investigation report is legal evidence introduced in a court of law
  • Strategies for drafting an effective investigation report
  • Understanding the next step - taking prompt corrective action
  • AND MUCH MORE!
