Proper verification is the foundation of every compliant certification, yet it continues to be one of the most common sources of HUD findings, repayment obligations, and costly compliance errors. This webinar provides a comprehensive review of HUD Multifamily verification requirements before and after HOTMA, including the revised verification hierarchy, new self-certification opportunities, Safe Harbor verification, asset limitations, disability verification, EIV verification changes, and documentation standards. Participants will learn not only what must be verified, but also how to determine whether the documentation collected is sufficient to support eligibility, annual income, adjusted income, and rent calculations. Through practical examples and real-world scenarios, this session helps staff develop stronger file review skills while avoiding the verification mistakes that frequently result in Management and Occupancy Review findings. Whether you are preparing certifications, reviewing files, or supervising compliance operations, this training provides practical guidance that can immediately strengthen your property's compliance program.
