ABOUT THE EVENT

Designed for housing professionals navigating HUD 4350.3 compliance, this training addresses exactly what must be verified and how to properly document it. This session offers a focused breakdown of HUD Multifamily verification requirements before and after HOTMA implementation. Participants will learn what must be verified, how to properly document it, and how to avoid common compliance errors. Key updates include HOTMA’s revised verification hierarchy, streamlined reexamination rules, and changes to EIV report usage and timing. The training also covers when self-certification, means-tested documentation, and oral verifications are acceptable—and how to document them correctly. Attendees will leave with practical tools to ensure their files meet HUD standards and withstand audit scrutiny.

Why You Should Attend

With HOTMA bringing major changes to verification requirements, it’s more important than ever to understand what must be verified, when, and how to document it properly. This session unpacks the new rules around third-party documentation, EIV report usage, streamlined reexams, and safe harbor options—turning complex policy into clear, actionable steps. You’ll also learn how to avoid the most common (and costly) verification mistakes that can trigger findings or harm residents. Don’t wait until you’re audited—get ahead of the curve and protect your property and your program.
