ABOUT THE EVENT

The Public Housing and Housing Choice Voucher Programs essentially use the same rules leading up to the final rent calculation.  This training covers income determination, income exclusions, assets and income from assets, adjusted income, minimum rent, tenant rent, and more.  We will discuss the basics of earned income disallowance (EID) and talk about how the new HOTMA final rule affects the PHA rent calculation determination.

This training is essential to those operating the public housing program and understanding how the final rent obligation is determined for the family and Housing Assistance Payment (HAP). Upon completion you should be able to explain and apply HUD regulations and guidance to calculate tenant rent in the public housing program.
