Did the FLSA salary threshold really change… and then change back again?
Recent Department of Labor updates increased the exempt salary level, only for a federal court to later vacate the rule - leaving many employers unsure what applies now. With enforcement increasing, misclassifying employees under the white-collar exemptions can lead to costly penalties, back pay claims, and compliance risks.
In this session, we’ll break down the current FLSA rules for white-collar exemptions, including the salary basis test, minimum salary level, and duties tests - and explain what employers must do now to stay compliant. You’ll also learn how recent rule changes, court decisions, and enforcement trends impact your pay practices.
