ABOUT THE EVENT

Writing payroll procedures is an arduous task that many payroll professionals know they need to do but just can’t seem to get started. Or they start the project but get bogged down by the sheer volume of labor involved! But by having the knowledge of how to document your payroll procedures correctly and a clear understanding of what you need to accomplish this task will set you quickly on your way to success!

Background

To ensure efficient business operations, each department is expected to have written procedures for all their tasks.  Payroll is no exception to this expectation. Yet many payroll departments are still attempting to get started (let alone to finish) this long and arduous task.

There are “tricks to the trade” for efficiently writing procedures and that’s what this webinar will cover.  You will see how breaking up the task into 30-minute increments can allow your department to write fully documented procedures in hours instead of days and weeks. We will discuss how it doesn’t affect the outcome if you want to set up the entire list of procedures needed to be done before getting started or just grab a topic and go—both ways lead to procedures being written with the right organization. Nothing stands in the way of getting those procedures written as we discuss how to work around payroll deadlines and staffing shortages. As a bonus, you can turn this monumental project into a positive learning experience by using it to train your staff and yourself along the way!

By following the suggestions made in this webinar, not only will you find a way to produce solid written procedures; but may even have a bit of fun along the way!

Learning Objectives

The information presented in this webinar will help set you on your way to finally accomplishing that item on your to-do list that has lingered for so long—writing the procedures for your payroll department.
