ABOUT THE EVENT

Accurate verification is the foundation of compliance in HUD-assisted multifamily housing programs. Mistakes in verifying income, assets, or household eligibility can lead to costly findings during Management and Occupancy Reviews (MORs), audits, and compliance monitoring.

This training provides a comprehensive and practical walkthrough of HUD’s verification requirements under HUD Handbook 4350.3 and related regulatory guidance. Property managers, compliance professionals, and housing staff will learn how to properly verify household income, assets, and deductions while following HUD’s required verification hierarchy.

Participants will gain clear guidance on identifying acceptable verification sources, documenting files correctly, and handling common challenges such as third-party verification delays, EIV discrepancies, and incomplete documentation.
