HOTMA Allowances and Deductions

This session zeroes in on the revised deduction and allowance rules under the Housing Opportunity Through Modernization Act (HOTMA). From the medical/disability deduction "co-pay" shift to 10%, to the newly required written hardship policies for child care and general relief, this session explores how HUD’s updated rules affect household rent calculations and what owners must now include in their Tenant Selection Plans. You'll walk away with a clear grasp of what has changed, what is optional, what is mandatory, and what you should (and shouldn't) be doing now.
