However, just filling it out does not serve the purpose. You also need to submit all the required documents that establish your claims made in the form. These are known as list A, list B and list C. Documents in list A are accepted for identifying the worker as well as to establish his or her work authorization. Documents in List B documents are accepted just for identifying the worker, and documents in list C are accepted only to establish authorization for working in the US.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">You may furnish one document from the list mentioned in List A since these documents can prove both identity and work authorization. In case you don\u2019t have any document from List A, you must submit one from List B and another from List C.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Documents in List A<\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Documents that can establish both your identity and authorization to work are the best bet since only one document will do the job. These may include, but are not limited to:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">U.S. Passport\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Permanent resident card\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Alien registration card\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Foreign passport having Arrival and Departure Records and also containing endorsement for working.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Employment Authorization Document Card<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Passport issued by the Federated States of Micronesia\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Passport issued by Republic of the Marshall Islands along with Form I-94 or I-94A.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Documents in List B<\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">These documents can only prove your identity, and these may include but are not limited to:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Driver&#8217;s license\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Identity card issued by any state of USA\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Outlying possession of the U.S.A with a photograph. If there is no photograph, information like name, gender, date of birth, eye color, height, and address need to be mentioned.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Identity cards issued by state, federal, or even local government entities containing a photograph. If a photograph is not there you need to provide information like name, gender, date of birth, eye color, height, address, etc.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">School Identity card containing a photograph<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Military dependent&#8217;s Identity card<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Native American document<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Driver&#8217;s license from Canada<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">School record, report card, hospital record, daycare record etc for people under 18 years of age.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Documents in List C<\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">However, while submitting List B documents you also need to submit one List C documents. These may include, but are not limited to:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">A number of unrestricted Social Security Account card. In case the card has the following lines written, you cannot use it. These are:<\/span>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">not valid for employment<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">valid for work only\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">more<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Original copy of the birth certificate issued by a county, state, or municipal authority of the U.S. has an official seal.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Conclusion<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">These are the list of documents that can be required for Form I-9.
